Advert for Listerine - Woman paper advertWith Ella and the child-minder back on track it leaves just me feeling awful having spent the night “swallowing glass”.  A packed schedule of meetings and rendezvous with one of my mentees means there’s no time for feeling sick or sorry for myself. I have a quick call with D3 Marketing about the website and am feeling inspired that we seem to be running full speed ahead with plans for growth we discussed and how the team are coming along.  I know Helen has things on track and I can breathe again.

she has called on her network to help her and basically moved mountains in a short space of time.

The meeting with my mentee was amazing.  Lunching on a plate of mash in Browns I’m in awe of everything she has achieved in the past 6 weeks.  A concept we discussed away from the corporate world is starting to gain some traction.  She presents me with 4 prototype Cake Pops, her logo and a website that is half way through its design.  It appears she has called on her network to help her and basically moved mountains in a short space of time.

The rest of the day is about moving my own mountain of wearethecity emails, doing work stuff, train home and getting myself ready to drive to Ascot.  My best friend is treating me for my 40th to a day at the races in the Royal Enclosure.

I have never been to Ascot before so despite still feeling ropey I can’t wait.
