Institutional and Corporate Technology (ICT) is one of five divisions within Technology & Data. We face off to the business and support services to develop and oversee the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the enterprise. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Global Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. We are responsible for Pioneer and Application Infrastructure, groups that look to develop foundational strategies, tools and technologies that are leveraged across Tech & Data, as well as standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm’s businesses.

Team Profile:


Trading Risk & Controls Practice Area is recruiting a technologist preferably with experience in a front office sales and trading environment to join its global team of developers. We are most interested in people who have thorough understanding of the flows in their area of business expertise and are eager to learn. The candidate will have worked on Aggregate Limit Engine’s within Risk. Good communication is also critical.

Primary Responsibilities:


The role involves hands-on development in KDB and shell/python scripting. Applications owned by TRC Team interface with all trading systems, fulfil regulatory rules and internal risk requirements. You will have the opportunity to work with the colleagues around the globe while helping on the regional deliveries.

Skills required (essential):


• In-depth knowledge of Q/KDB .
• In-depth knowledge of Unix / Linux command line tools (e.g. grep, awk), shell (ksh or bash). Should be able to write up single line commands quickly.
• Experience in coding in Python and C.
• Good knowledge of core concepts (e.g. file system layout, threads, processes, OS knowledge).
• Bachelor’s in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, from a top tier university.

Skills Desired:


• Some exposure to the financial services industry is a plus including an understanding of the equity trade lifecycle.
• Awareness of finance related protocols and technologies like real time market data, FIX protocol.
