Main responsibilities • Developing, configuring, testing and implementing new software solutions in Sharepoint 2010 & 2013 in line with best practice guidelines and ITG processes. Favouring “Out the Box” solutions where possible. • Configuring and implementing changes and enhancements to SharePoint infrastructure. • Monitor support queue’s for service requests and incidents. Support current SharePoint sites & solutions, in accordance with ITG processes & procedures. • Identify improvements to current solutions and infrastructure. • Provide input into project estimates and provide regular updates on work completed/outstanding. • Provide input and help make key decisions in the architecture of projects. • Ensure quality of code & best practice is being followed. Take responsibility for any errors and omissions to ensure any bugs are identified and fixed in line with priorities. • Perform appropriate tuning/refactoring to ensure that SharePoint applications perform to specification and do not impact existing solutions or infrastructure. • Work in conjunction with other ITG Teams and business users (including business analysts, testers etc.) in the development lifecycle. • Produce/amend documentation to cover implementation or enhancements of the SharePoint solutions, including security, technical specifications, site deployment and ongoing support requirements. • Monitor SharePoint servers for errors/warnings or failures, and manage remedial action to ensure minimal impact to the business. • Evaluate new releases and patches, co-ordinate testing with the business and propose implementation schedule. • Implement and maintain SharePoint security and user access. • Balance and co-ordinate multiple activities and prioritise where necessary. • Accountable to the Sharepoint Team Lead. • Assist with Microsoft Dynamics CRM support & development activities. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required Skills • Sharepoint 2010 & 2013 development • Sharepoint 2010 & 2013 administration • Sharepoint installation & migrations • Sharepoint best practice • C#.Net • CSS/XML experience • Javascript • TFS • Optimising and troubleshooting SharePoint performance. • High availability and Disaster Recovery options for SharePoint. Prefered knowledge and experience • Dynamics CRM 2013 administration/development • Claims authentication • Windows Identity Framework (WIF) • Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) • Mobile and tablet experience with SharePoint Agile/SCRUM/Kanban Project Experience |
