Thomson Reuters is looking for an accomplished writer, editor and reporter to take on the role of Chief Correspondent EMEA Financial Services.
The job, which will be based in London, will involve a mixture of writing and editing as well as regularly deputising for the EMEA Financial Services Editor.
There is a huge variety of stories to get into, from high-profile financial crime and front page scandals to coverage of complex regulatory changes with significant impacts on the workings of global markets.
The landscape is extremely competitive and the successful candidate will need to be equally at ease sending alerts on market-moving news as trawling through often hard-to-fathom data in search of evidence to support a story.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to generate original ideas and turn them into lively, deeply-reported stories, working with correspondents from across the region.
- They will also have a track record of breaking news through contact building and a proven understanding of the fast-changing financial services industry.
- In addition to strong organisational abilities, some news editing experience would be an advantage.
