Priyanka Chopra
Actress Priyanka Chopra shared some encouraging words to her female fans about having a voice.

In an interview with Glamour, the Baywatch actress and UNICEF philanthropist Priyanka Chopra puts her success down to how her parents raised her:

“I was raised by my parents to have an opinion, I was raised to be fearless. I was raised to not be a girl who was meant to always be quiet and demure.”

“I was told to be the best that I can be and I wish that for every girl-child on the planet.”

Discussing her role in the new Baywatch movie, Chopra described frustrations at constantly being compared to men: “I think the battle of the sexes is a big problem in the world – whichever field you pick…” she explained.

“…and it’s unfortunate that we’re in 2017 and it’s such a big topic of conversation that ‘I’m playing a female villain’, a villain is female”.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Chopra shared advice for women who want to succeed in business:

“…For any other vocation you might want to take on, it’ll be a fight, and you’ve got to not be afraid of it”

“There’ll be people who’ll want to pull you down, there’ll be people who say things about you that may not be true at all just so you feel small, so you don’t become the best that you are, but you just have to dust off your detractors and keep going.”

“I think that’s very important for any woman.”
