Ladbrokes-featuredThe Payroll Relationship Manager is accountable for delivering a professional, high quality dedicated and focused relationship between Ladbrokes HR and the outsourced payroll provider ensuring a timely and accurate delivery of the payroll. The outsourced payroll provider is responsible for successful, efficient, effective, accurate and customer focused delivery of our lunar and monthly payrolls to a population of ca. 12,000 employees. The payroll relationship manager will build long term working partnerships with payroll’s key stakeholders – such as but not limited to the Payroll Outsourced provider, Third Parties, HRMC, Internal HR teams, Finance etc – to monitor governance of the service provision and enhance services provided to Ladbrokes. This role is based in London, with occasional travel to Glasgow and reports into the Head of HR Shared Services.Key Accountabilities

  • Build effective partner relationships with key payroll delivery stakeholders.
  • Manage the service governance with our payroll outsourced provider, through service reviews and SLA/KPI reporting.
  • Analyse detailed data-sets to identify risks and opportunities. To ensure robust financial control over payroll and HR transactions; to ensure appropriate reconciliations performed and monies are remitted accurately and on time.
  • To research, identify and communicate the potential payroll implications to senior management of existing and proposed legislation.
  • To liaise with external and internal parties e.g. HM Revenue and Customs, Accounts, Reward etc. to plan new initiatives, verify information held by Ladbrokes in respect of employment, Tax, National Insurance and Pension schemes.
  • Lead transition activity into outsourced payroll model
  • Lead any payroll related project delivery, functionality enhancements or developments on Oracle R12 platform ensuring readiness across all affected parties. This role will need to work with the Oracle R12 Solutions architect to look at feasibility of any enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship & Service Management:

  • Regular service reviews with payroll provider, monitoring SLA and KPI’s in order to identify service improvements where required.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with external third parties and ensure data provided is both accurate and timely, as well as timely processing of third party payments.
  • Develop strong relationships and use influencing skills across senior levels in the allocated business to support delivery of future strategic HR Services initiatives.
  • Identify the impact and scope of business change initiatives affecting Payroll, and communicate to ensure timely, effective action.
  • Ensure complex payroll complaints are fully investigated and detailed root cause analysis provided with proactive customer focused solutions.
  • Ensure any escalated payroll issues are recorded in the department’s case management tool.
  • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports with key payroll KPI.
  • Attend HR Services operational and customer meetings as required to report on service performance and influence service line management to investigate any corrective action.
  • To continuously assess any updates as provided by the outsource partner and assess the impact.
  • Liaise with internal and external audit requirements providing all data requested.
  • Work closely with the Head of HR Shared Services to ensure all payroll related operational risks and issues are reported and mitigated.
