Cara Delevingne’s new docu-series with Puma debuts today, as part of their #DoYou campaign.
Over several episodes, Delevinge visits different women across the world who are making a difference and inspiring others.
Through the series, Cara meets young women around the U.S and Canada, including Natalie Hampton, a high school student who created the “Sit With Us” app in an attempt to prevent bullying in schools.
In another episode, she visits Uganda with the United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR, where she speaks to girls at refugee camps.
She also takes a self-defense class with Martial Smarts, where women learn how to defend themselves against attackers.
Speaking at Puma’s “#DoYou” campaign event, held in Central Saint Martins, London at the weekend, Delevingne explained why she decided to take part in the campaign.
“I see, and I am more aware, of my own ignorance,” Delevingne said.
“Of what people say and how spoiled we are in the West — and obviously myself included.”
“Even the way I actually treat myself sometimes, and how much I put myself down and how much I made myself feel bad about myself.”
“Now I am starting to understand women’s empowerment a lot more and how I want to lift other women up.”
“But you can’t do that unless you lift yourself up. I’m still growing every day. It’s a constant reminder.”
The model-turned-actress also took to Instagram to announce the series, stating:
“Tomorrow kicks off my #DoYou docu-series with @PUMA, which was inspired by my trip to Uganda working with UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and shares stories of women who are working to change the world.”
“This series is only the beginning– next I want to hear from you. Share your story with #DoYouStories,” she wrote.
