There’s no place like home
the albert kennedy

As busy women we all know that precious feeling when the long day is over, the key turns in the lock, you take a deep breath out and you’re home.
Our homes are where we are free to be ourselves, to welcome friends or just to relax and get ready to face the world again. But for some young LGBT women, home is a very different place.

Every day at the Albert Kennedy Trust we see young LGBT people whose sexual orientation or gender identity means that home is a place of violence and fear, a place to run from, and sadly in increasing numbers. It is our job to give them a place to run to, a place where they can finish growing up and get the best start and to do that we need your help.

Whether through donations, volunteering, becoming a foster carer, mentor or just by spreading the word about the Albert Kennedy Trust to your network you can make sure more young LGBT women have a safe place to call home.

On the 31stMarch we will be launching our Women’s campaign with the Albert Kennedy Trust At Home. An evening of fun, food and fine wine and a celebration of all that it is to be at home in our community. Hope to see you there!!
